You have:

Joined the free SGR Affiliate Program

Your own domain and webhost

Setup your Blog

Created your own affiliate site

Created a squeeze page with your re-brandable report

Setup your autoresponder & mailing list

Joined at least Facebook, MySpace, and Powerful Intentions

Have links to your site from Squidoo, Stumble, Digg, and Del.icio.us

Have links to your site from every bookmark in onlywire.com

Have downloaded the marketing bonuses from LeadsLeap

Have linked to your site from Wikipedia

Have built up your friends lists at your online communities

Have learnt how to use Craigslist & Forums

Have setup your About me page and know how to advertise on eBay

Have uploaded your vidoes to all the major video social networking sites

Have created your OWN Original brandable report

Have written your own 5 day course.

Have submitted your articles to all major ezine sites.

Have written and submitted at least 1 press release.

Know how to use Google Adwords

Have high-pagerank “related” sites linking to you

What Now?

Well you’ve created your website, your brandable report, have all
the top pagerank sites linking to you from all over the net, have your
own groups, mailing list, autoresponders, your articles are
circulating, and your “out there” in the community.

The next step is time-management.. you’re all setup.. ready to go..
but you now need to create your own time-management plan on what you
are comfortable with in your ongoing promotion.

I suggest you start at: The Time Management for Success post which will contain ideas (and comments from others).. a summary:

#1 Attracting New Clients = 40% of your time (Attracting, NOT chasing)
#2 Converting New Clients into Customers = 20% of your time
#3 Admin Tasks = 30% of your time
#4 Creating Content for your Business = 10% of your time

You’ve done the “hard yards” with your content and admin tasks over
the past 30 days.. it’s time for friend frenzy’s, getting to know
people, having fun, and diverting prospects to your online communities,
groups, autoresponders, etc. You should concentrate on attracting new
clients.. keep on creating those new videos and uploading them to all
the social networking sites, keep updating your blog and your groups,
but mostly, you get to have fun by getting to know people on a real
level, gaining real friendships, trust, and integrity, and helping
people to do the same will be the biggest reward in the SGR program.

Get your Outlook or Time & Chaos calendar out, and work out a
daily plan based on the amount of hours you wish to work on the
business per day.. and using the formula from the Time Management for
Success, base your goals around that.. will you spend every Monday
making more Facebook friends? every Tuesday chatting to your new
friends? every Wednesday finding new Twitters? Every Thursday creating
a new lens on Squidoo?

On my site, I have implemented a “daily checklist” to remind myself
(and anyone else who is interested) on what I could be doing today to
help attract traffic to my sites.

You should install Google Analytics on every page of your website to
find out which traffic is working best for you and concentrate on those
sites.. if you find that you get lots of traffic from YouTube.. then
make sure you are more active in YouTube.. you get the picture :)

Google Sites

Google News
– If your site gets approved as a
google news site, you’ll get a tonne of traffic. So if your blog/site
is a good resource for google news then feel free to submit it.

Google Images
- Get traffic exposure from Google
Images. To optimize your images, ensure you use the alt tag to your
images and describe your image.

Google Sitemap
- Will show you if your site is indexed by google, but will also help Google index your site.

Google Video
- Google Video is a free Video sharing website

Google Base
- Online database provided by Google
into which any user can add almost any type of content, such as text,
images, and structured information in formats like XML, PDF, Excel,
RTF, Word Perfect, etc. which works in conjunction with Google Search.

Google Product Search (Froogle)
- Google Product Search is one of the primary ways for people to look for products they are interested in buying.

Google Groups
- Google provides two distinct kinds
of groups: traditional Usenet groups, and non-Usenet groups that are
more similar to mailing lists.

Google Book Search
- Google Book Search allows
public-domain works and other out-of-copyright material to be
downloaded in PDF format. Science of Getting Rich is there so you can
add that to your library and add your own reviews to it, etc.

Blogger
- Google owns blogger.

Google Docs
- Upload your Re-Brandable PDF Docs here, as well as Powerpoint presentations and Word documents.

Feedburner
- FeedBurner provides custom RSS feeds
and management tools to bloggers & podcasters. Published feeds are
modified in several ways, including automatic links to Digg and
del.icio.us, and “splicing” information from multiple feeds.

Google Notebook
- Google Notebook is an interactive
scratch pad for any visited web pages, offering to collect web findings
within the browser window.

Orkut
- Another social networking site, but owned by Google.

Google Page Creator
- Will creating a Google Page and referring to your websites boost your Google Pagerank? I intend to find out. See also Google Pages Tips.

YouTube
- Yep, Google owns YouTube now.. you’ll
notice that YouTube videos come up first in Google Search results so
use it to your advantage :)

Google Alerts
- I use Google Alerts to find out how
my websites are doing.. for instance, I added “Leverage the secret” to
my alerts, and then as I post to the various sites, I can get notified
when “google” finds them and therefore indexes them.

Google Analytics
- I use Google Analytics the same
way except I get to know where all my visitors are coming from, how
long they spend at my site, which pages they click on, etc. From this,
I’ll be able to know where I should concentrate my efforts.. ie which
of my advertising is working.

Google Trends
- Google Trends is a tool from Google
Labs that shows the most popularly searched terms. Use this to find
popular search terms related to SGR.

Jaiku
Create your own microblog and connect with
your friends. Post from the Web, by SMS, or from desktop clients. Add
comments, use icons, link Webfeeds.

Google Sites
- Currently in Beta, but should be
good! It’s like Wikipedia but it looks sweeter :) And you can control
who has access to change your pages.

Just thought I would take some notes as I was listening to his
conference call and even though I’ve gone through most them in prior
tips to the “start here”, it’s good to have a little list from someone
else to know we’re on the right track and there were a couple of newies
in there (google docs, radio blog, etc).

Article writing costs you nothing to write, and are free to advertise, any earnings you get from article-writing is pure profit.

When you joined LeadsLeap,
if you spent some time reading the great free material, you would’ve
noticed that Kenneth has a system in place for his new websites.

The first thing he does is submit to Digg and Propeller, and the
very next thing he does is write 5 new articles for his new site and
posts them to as many article directories as possible.

Read his articles on the subject here:

How To Promote A New Website – A Step By Step Guide
How To Increase Your Google Page Rank To PR4 For Free

Today’s Checklist:

Write 5 articles based on SGR, put links in them to your website or blog or squeeze page.

Submit the articles to hundreds of ezine publishers and directories.

In your article by-line, place your autoresponder link so that people can signup to your free course.

Your article, as people use them on their own website, will start popping up all over the internet and in search engines.

So make sure your article is worthy of being put on someone’s site, you want it to be useful to the readers.

What to write about?

How-to: An article that explains how to do something, get something, use something or find something.

Opinion: An article focusing on an emerging aspect of your business, and offer your opinion on how it will affect the industry.

Personal story/inspirational essay: Your
compelling reason you went into business for yourself. Why you chose
the path you did. You can make it humorous, or inspirational, or both.

Excerpt: Your new e-book or e-course can be used to offer a free sample chapter, condensed versions of the articles.

Top ten lists: Top 20 Ideas, 3 ways, Five Steps to… etc.

Remember to stay away from making your articles sound like advertisements.
People read articles to be entertained, get ideas, or learn something they didn’t know before.

Quick Points:

Use short sentences and short paragraphs.

Keep the language level conversational.

Talk directly to the reader “if your..” “you could” etc.

Use bulleted lists to break up the text.

400 to 800 words is a good general target for most articles.

A link to your autoresponder, free pdf, or website in your Bio box.

Add this to each article:

This article may be freely reprinted or distributed in its entirety in any e-zine, newsletter, blog, or website.
The author’s name, bio and website links must remain intact and be included with every reproduction.

Where to Submit?

Following are some of the many article directories you can submit your articles to for reprinting and distribution:
Article Beach – ArticleBeach.com
Go Articles – goarticles.com

Awesome submission:

Else, if you have money to spend, write the 5 articles, and get the guys over at ArticleMarketer.com to
automatically submit them to all the ezine submission places for
$49.99/quarter, and they do have a free submission “try-before-you-buy”
which does quite a few places, which is what I’m doing to start me off!
:)

When designing your free course, follow these 2 rules:

Rule 1: Give Away Just Enough to Create Desire

The first thing you need to do is decide what bits of information
you’re going to give away. You want to give away just enough to entice
the reader to purchase your full product. Try to craft your free offer
so that it allows you to email the subscriber with free information at
least 7 times.

Rule 2: Give it Away Slowly

Second, you must spread out the information over several days. Let’s
say you’re selling a book on competitive rock climbing. Your book
contains 29 chapters. You decide to give out 7 chapters for free. You
DO NOT want to let the subscriber download ALL 7 chapters in one go.
Let them sign up to receive one chapter every 2 – 3 days.

By spreading it out this way, you allow yourself more time to form a
relationship with the reader. You also make it easier for them to
consume the 7 free chapters by spreading them out rather than handing
it to them in one go. Remember – you need to contact the subscriber
around 7 times on average before generating a sale.

If your free course is a software product, then you can let the
subscriber download a limited version of the product (with some
features turned off). You should always require subscribers to provide
an email address before downloading and you should email them a
friendly tip or suggestion every few days. The purpose of the email is
to remind them to consume the product and to create a bond with them.

Simply allowing your subscribers to download a software product and
then forgetting about them is not a smart thing to do. Create a
relationship!

Setting Up the Course

Your free course should start with a welcome email followed by Lesson 1.

Every 2-3 days the subscriber should receive another lesson or nugget of information. We recommend at least 7 lessons in total.

At the end of the 7th lesson, the subscriber should receive a
promotional email offering them a reason to buy your product
immediately.

What Should Your Lessons Look Like?

There are 2 ways to present the information in your free course. The
first is to simply include the entire lesson within the email. The
second is to create a short message designed to SELL the reader on
reading the full message, which would be in the form of a PDF or on the
Web.

Method 1: Include the Entire Lesson within the Email

This is ideal for shorter lessons. Here is an example from Dearl
Miller’s free course, Trafficology. We have removed the bulk of the
lesson for simplicity and have simply included the header and footer.

Hello John,

Welcome to Part 6 of the 7 Most Powerful Web Traffic Creation & Conversion Techniques Period.

Today you will learn:

Usability is the study of how people use things. Therefore, web usability is the study of how people use the web.

….. Rest of Lesson Follows Here……..

In your next lesson of the 7 Most Powerful <subject here>, you will learn the single most valuable technique available.

If you found this information useful, we would like to hear from you. Please email us: youremail@yourdomain.com

Can’t wait? Ready for Advanced Lessons?

Join our Exclusive Members Only Area: http://yourwebsite.com/members-only

Notice a couple of things about the email lesson above – you can adopt these best practices in your own lessons.

First, the email starts with the receiver’s first name. This
personalization level is important for boosting readership and creating
a better bond with the reader. In a moment we’ll show you how this is
done.

Next, the lesson starts with some teaser copy designed to excite
the reader and arouse interest. The authors tell the reader what they
are going to cover and why it’s important.

The email is chatty and informal.

The lesson ends with a small sales pitch that’s not too pushy – the simple line “Can’t Wait? Ready for Advanced Lessons?” followed by a link to the private membership site.

Method 2: Use a ‘Teaser’ and Keep the Lesson Separate

This method is good if your lesson is too long and cannot be
properly read in an email. Longer lessons that require images, use of
fonts, or multimedia elements like audio and video are better served up
on the web.

Here is an example of a ‘teaser’ style email:

Hi Eric,

Welcome to the Most Important Lesson of My Online Training Program!

Imagine if you could re-program your mind – just like a computer -
to get rid of bad habits or unwanted behavior. Imagine how much more
successful and in control of your life you would be.

What if I told you that everyone has this ability but only a few of us learn to use it!

In this lesson, I’m going to teach you one of the most versatile and
powerful techniques to use the power of visualization to alter your
behavior.

The Law of Attraction can help you:

Kick a habit. Do you want to quit smoking? Or perhaps eat or drink less?

Overcome a fear. Do you want to overcome your fear of heights? Or maybe a fear of commitment or public speaking?

Enhance your desire. Do you want to be more motivated to succeed at
your chosen career? Or to excel at writing, acting, a sport or a
non-profit cause you’re working for?

Since this is such a powerful exercise, I’m going to provide you with
audio from the Kit for free so that I can guide you through the
exercise.

Click on the Link below to download the audio now:

www.yourwebsite.com/audio

The thing to notice about Method 2 is that it’s fairly salesy. But this
is perfectly fine. The goal of the email in Method 2 is to sell the
reader on the idea of taking the time to click on a link and read the
lesson on the web.

Which Method Should You Use?

The method to use really depends on the style and type of your
message. As a rule of thumb, if your lesson is longer than 2 pages, do
not put the entire lesson in the email. Create a short teaser and drive
the reader to click on a link that opens up the lesson in a new window.

If your lesson is a short tip and does not require graphics or
lengthy text, you can include the entire lesson within the body of the
email.

Each lesson should provide well-formatted, quality information that
will be relevant and of interest to your target audience. If your
content does not have any perceived value, your readers may unsubscribe.

Your lessons should identify a problem, discuss possible courses of
action, and then solve the problem using your product or service.
Remember to use your lessons to teach and inform rather than blatantly
push for sales. You can, however, include unobtrusive links to your
product pages in the event that a reader does wish to purchase. You
don’t miss out on any opportunity to capture a sale.

The final email in your course should be a sales letter about the
product or service you offer that is related to the course you just
gave. We will discuss how to craft this sales letter in a moment.

A Collection of Sample Free Courses

and high converting free courses. Sign up for their course and learn
from their examples.

Crafting the Final Email and Closing the Sale

Once your subscribers have enjoyed your free course, how do you get them to buy your product or service?

The last email in your free course should be a sales letter. It
should relate your product or service to the course content and compel
customers to buy. This can be done by offering special incentives and
pricing, and by including case studies and real customer testimonials.

A good sales letter will:

Thank the customer for subscribing to the course

Address the customer’s needs and concerns

Show how your product or service will satisfy those needs and concerns

Emphasize the benefits of your product or service (e.g. more time, save money, better health)

Have actual case studies and/or glowing customer testimonials

Offer additional incentives in the final call to action

Reiterate your sales pitch

Allow customers to complete the purchase by linking to an order page

Create trust and have a guarantee

Provide your company contact name, email, phone, and website address for additional support

Give unsubscribe instructions

The important thing to remember is that the promotional sales
letter should NEVER contain the entire sales copy. The sales copy
itself should remain on a page on your website.

The sales letter should instead focus on exciting the reader and
arousing curiosity to make the reader want to click on a link and visit
the actual sales letter.

Why should you never include copy within your final email promotion?

There are 2 reasons for this:

1. If you include sales copy in an email, the email will often get blocked by spam filters.

Even innocent words like ‘guarantee’ or ‘discount’ may be enough to
get your letter blacklisted and hurled into a spam folder like an
unwanted piece of junkmail (we’ll take a deeper look at spam filters
and how to get around them in another tactic).

2. Your readers will likely ignore an email that they perceive to
be salesy, or they may save it for later reading (and then never get
back to it). You don’t want this to happen.

Here is an example of a sales promotion that works by arousing
curiosity and attempting to get the reader to click on a link to see
the actual sales copy.

The Backup Sales Letter

What if the reader does not respond to your promo? Don’t worry,
you’ll get another chance. Wait 1 – 2 weeks and send another letter to
the subscribers who have yet to buy.

In this letter you can offer a free bonus gift.

Summary

Offering your visitors a free sample of your product through an
online subscription can easily double your sales. If you do it the
smart way that is.

In this tactic we’ve shown you how to use a free online course to
create a relationship with your visitors, make them come back to your
site over and over again and how to finally close the sale.

Once you’ve designed your free training and created the accompanying
emails and promotions, your job is as good as done. Autoresponders will
automatically send your course and emails to your subscribers, and
sales will start to roll in.

As with every new tactic, testing is key. Test different bonus
offers and email formats to see what works best with your subscribers.
